Synopsis

1990 was Stephen Chow's year. The struggling kid's show host and award-winning dramatic actor was just discovered to be a comedic gold mine, and took advantage of it by starring in more than ten movies this one year alone. Even so, this remains one of the most interesting and unusual in his filmography. He is absolutely delightful in this "cosmic comedy", directed by the man who also made the farcical New Tales Of The Flying Fox. Tung Piao (known as Jackie Chan's "Uncle Bill" in films like Rumble In The Bronx and Police Story III Super Cop), is a murdered police inspector who comes back from the dead to protect, help, and haunt a crafty cop into avenging his death. The comedic complications multiply, as do the thrills and laughs, in this prime Stephen Chow winner.
