Synopsis

The english title being a nod to Chang Cheh's attitude toward Hollywood's 1957-1963 Western show Have Gun Will Travel, Chang Cheh brings together his Jimmy Wang Yu replacement proteges Ti Lung and David Chiang for the second time in this excellent "heroic bloodshed" film Have Sword Will Travel further strengthening their "iron triangle" filmmaking group nickname. Female teenage heart throb Li Ching, nicknamed Shaw Brothers' "Baby Queen" hangs up the label as she starts a new career direction in martial arts film. Ti Lung plays a swordsman hired to escort silver to the capital and David Chiang, the mystery knight they take for a spy, actually turns out to be the man that saves them. It's Chang Cheh's male bonding at its best. Popular future star and director of ghost films Wu Ma assistant directs.
