Celestial Pictures launched a new music revamped album called RETROCHINE, which was inspired by Shaw Brothers movie soundtracks. The Celestial's Shaw Brothers Film Library encompasses 2000+ songs, many of which were chart-topping hits at the time of their release. Huangmei opera/Chinese folk songs series Leveraging on the popular Huang Mei Diao operas from the library, Celestial Pictures partnered with EMI in 2005 to re-release 8 original soundtracks albums in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and China. The Three Smiles, The Mermaid, Lady General Hua Mu-Lan, The Love Eterne, The Songfest, The Dream of the Red Chamber, West Chamber and The Kingdom and The Beauty.
