The Celestial's Shaw Brothers Film Library encompasses 2000+ songs, many of which were chart-topping hits at the time of their release. Leveraging on the popular Huang Mei Diao operas from the library, Celestial Pictures partnered with EMI in 2006 to re-release 8 original soundtracks albums in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and China. Three new CD compilations of original Shaw Brothers classics were also released in 2006. Celestial Pictures is also producing a series of new music remix albums, inspired by Shaw movie music, to target the Western markets.
